Your Questions Answered
I’ve never made challah before—will I be lost?
Not at all! This is the perfect chance to learn. Step-by-step instructions and hands-on guidance are provided, so everyone leaves feeling empowered and inspired.
I’m an experienced challah baker—will it be boring for me?
Definitely not! Past participants who already know their way around dough have loved it. This event is much more than a workshop—it’s social, elegant, meaningful, and full of new experiences.
This is my first JWC event and I’ll be coming alone—will I meet people?
Absolutely! Baking challah together creates a warm, friendly atmosphere, making it easy to connect with other Jewish women. We can’t wait to greet you!
I'm GF, can I bring my own flour?
You can certainly bring your own GF 1:1 flour to use instead!
I don't love the typical challah ingredients, what will we be using?
We use a vegan recipe featuring coconut sugar, avocado oil, and organic unbleached flour for a delicious and artisanal challah!
I'm vegan, is that an issue?
We actually will be using a delicious vegan recipe that everyone will most likely adore!
I don’t drive at night—can I still attend?
Of course! Reach out to Mirel at mirel@jewishtiburon.com to coordinate a ride with someone coming from your area.
I can’t stay out too late—what time does the event end and can I leave early?
The event wraps up at 9:00 PM. The last 45 minutes are for braiding and decorating your challah, so you can go at your own pace or leave early if needed—no problem!
Is there anything I should bring?
All materials are provided! Just bring yourself—your presence is a gift to the entire room.
Who is the event contact if I have questions?
Please reach out to Mirel Mintz at mirel@jewishtiburon.com or 707-758-4893—she’ll be happy to assist you.
Who can attend?
This event is for women and girls ages 16 and up.
Can I bring my dog?
We love our furry friends! For everyone’s safety and comfort, dogs cannot attend this event. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming all human guests.
